*Fox News commentator Britt McHenry – the former ESPN reporter who was famously suspended by the sports network for belittling a tow employee – is now claiming that her stint with ESPN was cut short permanently because she was “white” and “made too much” money.

McHenry, also the host of “Like It Or Not” on WTTG Fox 5 in Washington, DC, was among those ESPN employees laid off in 2017 during the network’s first rounds of cost-cutting. She brought up her dismissal on Twitter after her reporting skills were being mocked.

“I was demoted because I was white & made too much.  First to go. Actually…,” she tweeted.

The former ESPN reporter has since deleted the tweet with those claims, but not before they were screenshotted by fellow users:

After her remarks went viral, McHenry tried to clean things up in a reply to Deadspin, saying, “I think there were a number of factors into laying me off.” She also said she may explore her firing in a forthcoming book. “Trust me, I wouldn’t make a claim without proof. One day in a book. One day soon.”

Meanwhile, former colleague Jemele Hill, who was demoted from SportsCenter at ESPN, is literally laughing out loud over McHenry’s allegations.
