Dozens Injured After Floor Collapse at Clubhouse Party Near Clemson University [WATCH]

*Dozens of college students were injured when the floor of a condominium clubhouse near Clemson University collapsed during a party Saturday night… and it was caught on video.

Around 30 people were reportedly sent to the hospital with injuries that Clemson City Police said appeared to be non-life-threatening.

Clemson sophomore Larissa Stone told the Independent Mail of Anderson that the room was “packed” and the center of the floor dropped when people started jumping as a popular song played.

“So everyone was jumping. The beat was about to drop and literally the whole floor collapsed,” she said. “It happened so quickly. I stood up, and everyone was trying to climb out. People are under other people. People are hurt. People are bleeding. I had blood on my sneakers. It was really bad.”

The incident reportedly occurred after Clemson won a football game against North Carolina. The clubhouse is located at The Woodlands apartment complex, a couple of miles from Clemson University.

Property manager Tal Slann could not comment on the clubhouse capacity but confirmed to The Associated Press that “there was a party” and  “there was a floor collapse.”

“There were injuries,” but he noted that “they were not life-threatening. Nobody was trapped.”

Slann sent residents of The Woodlands an email notifying them of the freak incident inside the clubhouse.

“The Clubhouse and pool area is OFF LIMITS to all,” said a copy of the email texted to the AP. “The clubhouse will be inspected by structural engineers as soon as possible. From there, the homeowner’s association will determine how to rebuild the clubhouse to make it safe for all residents. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who were injured and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
