Malcolm D. Lee’s ‘Night School’ Adds Megalyn Echikunwoke, Romany Malco & Bresha Webb

Malcolm D. Lee’s Night School*Megalyn Echikunwoke, Romany Malco, Bresha Webb, Al Madrigal and Ben Schwartz have been added to director Malcolm D. Lee’sNight School comedy.

They join a cast that includes Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, Yvonne Orji, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Taran Killam and Rob Riggle.

Production has starting filming in Atlanta.

According to blackfilm.com, the Universal/Will Packer production “follows a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult classes in the long-shot chance they’ll pass the GED exam.”

“Rajskub will play Theresa, a hardworking mom with several kids who got pregnant in high school and is now trying to earn her GED, while Killam will play the school’s principal Stewart, who rules the school with an iron fist. Schwartz will play Hart’s best friend, an investment adviser who wants to give his pal a job but can’t until Hart passes his GED.”

Will Packer will produce for his Will Packer Productions alongside Hart, who will produce via his Hartbeat Productions banner.

The script is based on a story by Hart, which he co-wrote the script with Harry Ratchford, Joey Wells and Matt Kellard, with additional script work by Nick Stoller.

“Night School” will hit theaters Sept. 28, 2018.
