*Jamie Foxx faces off against some hard-boiled gangsters who have kidnapped his son in Open Road’s first trailer for “Sleepless.”
Gabrielle Union, T.I., Dermot Mulroney, Scoot McNairy, and David Harbour also star in the remake of the French thriller “Nuit Blanche,” which follows Foxx’s character as undercover Las Vegas police officer Vincent Downs, who is caught in a high stakes web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground.
When a heist goes wrong, a crew of homicidal gangsters kidnaps Downs’ teenage son. In one sleepless night, he will have to rescue his son, evade an internal affairs investigation led by a no-nonsense Michelle Monaghan and bring the kidnappers to justice.
“A big bad policewoman. I like that,” he tells her.
Baran Bo Odar directs from a screenplay by Andrea Berloff. Producers include Alex Foster, Roy Lee, and Adam C. Stone.
“Sleepless” opens in theaters on Feb. 24.
