* Fatherless Girls Summit ~ Global life and success strategist, Angela Carr Patterson, is on a mission to help elevate the awareness of the negative impact that fatherlessness has on a females life while helping to decrease its long term effects.
She will accomplish this through hosting The 2nd Annual Fatherless Girls Summit on June 11, 2016, at the Springhill Suites Downtown Vista in Columbia, SC.

The one-day summit is designed to help girls 12-19 reclaim their worth, redefine who they are, and rewrite a new narrative for their lives beyond being fatherless.
“Our girls are in a crisis,” says Carr Patterson, founder of the Fatherless Daughters Network, a community of Fatherless Daughter Advocates that serve and support women and girls with an unattached, emotionally unavailable, or absent father.
She points to dire statistics that plague fatherless girls: 71 percent teen pregnancies, 72 percent lower standard of living, and five times more likely to commit suicide. Fatherless girls also have a higher percentage of being seriously, and often fatally, abused.
“We cannot read statistics like this and turn away,” says Carr Patterson, who grew up without her biological father.
Her 2014 book, I’m Not That Woman…A Fatherless Daughter’s Journey to Being, and upcoming documentary, The Making of a Fatherless Daughter, highlights the fatherless daughter journey.
The event will answer questions from a recent fatherless girls survey and provide hands-on interactive activities, workshops, and a theatrical presentation with open panel discussions.
Celebrity Model and TV Personality, Bianca Chardei will be the luncheon’s keynote speaker and she will address the importance of self-love, and self-value.
“A girl receives her identity from her father and we must address our misplaced sense of identity to heal our pain,” says Carr Patterson. “Our goal is not to attack or blame fathers, but create a safe and sacred “womb space” for women and girls to move their lives forward in love, acceptance, and forgiveness.”
