*CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker reportedly lashed out at former contributor Donna Brazile for allegedly emailing Hillary Clinton’s campaign two questions that were to be asked at two different CNN TV events while she was on the network’s payroll.
According to Huffington Post, Zucker had some choice words for Brazile during a morning editorial meeting today, saying her behavior was “unethical” and “disgusting.”
Brazile’s emails came to light during two separate WikiLeaks revelations. One appeared to inform the Clinton campaign of a question to be asked at a March 6 democratic debate. The other was from a town hall a week later.
When news broke Monday of the second leak, CNN said it had accepted Brazile’s resignation on Oct. 14, adding, “CNN never gave Brazile access to any questions, prep material, attendee list, background information or meetings in advance of a town hall or debate. We are completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor.”
Meanwhile, over on Fox News, Megyn Kelly also went after Brazile, saying, “Can you imagine if this were a Republican had been fed a question by Fox News? You know, the different reaction we’d be seeing in the media?”
Kelly mentioned that she defended Brazile and CNN when the story first broke but said, “The facts appear to be proving my initial defense of them wrong.”
Kelly said Brazile’s action “undermines the integrity of the whole system.”
