*So far, the brother with bright red hair pictured above is the lone suspect in a series of random stabbings in New York City that have coined the phrase ‘subway slasher.’ With the latest incident taking place in the Bronx.
Since the beginning of 2016, there have been seven slashings and three stabbings on New York subways.
The incidents appear to occur after an altercation and this latest one involved a man arguing with two other men.
“The victim is trying to talk to one and he expresses he’s not interested in having a conversation with the guy,” according to a source speaking to the New York Post. The victim said that the three men continued down the stairway before he felt a slap to his face. He then quickly realized he had been slashed, the sources said.
