*A heart-pounding glimpse into a dystopian future has arrived with the official trailer for “The Running Man,” a bold reimagining of Stephen King’s 1982 novel, directed, co-written, and produced by Edgar Wright.
Set to hit theaters, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Premium Large Format, and IMAX on November 7, 2025, this action-packed black comedy from Paramount Pictures features a stellar cast led by Glen Powell, alongside William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, Sean Hayes, Jayme Lawson, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin.
In this near-futuristic tale, society is gripped by “The Running Man,” a brutal reality show where contestants, dubbed Runners, must survive 30 days against relentless assassins while a voyeuristic audience watches their every move. Per the synopsis, Powell stars as Ben Richards, a desperate father driven to join the deadly game to fund treatment for his ailing daughter.
Pitted against the show’s cunning producer, Dan Killian, played by Josh Brolin, Ben’s resilience and defiance transform him into an unlikely hero, challenging the system as his popularity soars. The trailer teases high-stakes chases, dark humor, and a nation hooked on the spectacle of his survival.

This marks the second adaptation of King’s novel, originally published under his pseudonym Richard Bachman, following the 1987 film. Produced by Simon Kinberg, Nira Park, and Wright, and executive produced by George Linder, James Biddle, Rachael Prior, Audrey Chon, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary, the film promises a fresh take on the dystopian classic.
With its all-star ensemble and Wright’s visionary direction, “The Running Man” is poised to captivate audiences with its thrilling narrative and sharp social commentary. Watch the trailer above.
