*Although she has health issues, T-Boz has no issue clearing the air on the status of her well-being. The TLC entertainer took to social media to update fans regarding the reasons the group has canceled multiple shows. According to T-Boz, the cancellations stem from being hospitalized various times in the past due to her battle with sickle cell, a fact she usually keeps private.
To those who have mocked her health situation, karma is on the way, she stated while letting folk know why her health is something she takes very seriously.
“People have died from what I just went through,” T-Boz said.
To clarify, the award-winning hitmaker maintained the hospitalization “had nothing to do with sickle cell.” The weight of the condition and her connection to it has clearly taken its toll on T-Boz, who is urging fans to “stop associating my name with sickle cell.
“I am Tionne Watkins, I just happen to have a disease, but it’s not who I am or all that I am,” she bluntly voiced.

As for chatter about her being on Ozempic, the “No Scrubs” singer’s response was clear and to the point.
“The ignorance is just disheartening to me,” she expressed.
From there, T-Boz pointed out scar tissue she obtained from a surgery she had 24 years ago. The result from the procedure, according to The Jasmine Brand, was a blocked intestine.
The scar tissue has since moved and “unblocked it” she added while reassuring fans that she is doing much better,

As it stands now, T-Boz admitted that she has been out of the hospital for three days. Not one to ignore the love shown to her, the “Waterfalls” vocalist ended her update thanking fans for their support.
T-Boz’s response comes amid speculation and concern surrounding her physical health and TLC’s concert cancellations. Chronicling the situation, The Jasmine Brand referenced a message dated Aug. 24 that detailed what happened with T-Boz after a recent TLS show in Toledo, OH.
“However, shortly after arriving in Syracuse, Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins experienced sudden and severe nausea, vomiting, and intense abdominal cramps. She was immediately seen by a doctor and subsequently taken to the hospital for further evaluation,” the message read.
“Last evening, Tionne was diagnosed with a severe abdominal blockage, necessitating the cancellation of both the Syracuse and Foxwoods performances. She remains in the hospital under medical supervision but is expected to be released tomorrow. The doctor verified this was not food poisoning, but an abdominal blockage….The decision to cancel was made under the advisement of her physician, who required her to stay in the hospital overnight to undergo a CT scan to assess the severity of her condition.”
