*A seventh man connected to the alleged criminal gang “Young Slime Life” or YSL has reached a plea in Young Thug’s RICO case.
Antonio Sledge, 41, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. As Law&Crime reports, “Sledge has to testify in any trial emerging from the indictment and will not be allowed to invoke his Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination,” the outlet writes.
As part of the agreement, prosecutors will drop the firearm charge and Sledge will spend 15 years on probation for the racketeering charge.

Here’s more from Hip Hop DX:
Sledge may have already hurt Young Thug’s chances at freedom, though, by admitting that YSL associates killed Donovan Thomas Jr. in 2015 on behalf of YSL, and he and others went to the rapper’s house following the murder.
Sledge alleged that Thug took care of himself and other affiliates by giving them cash to “lay low” following Thomas Jr.’s killing. He also acknowledged that a pair of gas stations were used as a location by YSL associates to sell drugs.
Previous YSL associates to take plea deals include Gunna, Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk, Slimelife Shawty (Winnie Lee), Lil Duke (Martinez Arnold). YSL co-founder Walter Murphy and Antonio “Obama” Sumlin have also pleaded out, bringing the number of defendants down to 21 ahead of the January 9 trial.
Prosecutors claim Young Thug is a co-founder of YSL.
Two members of YSL, Tenquarius Mender “Nard” and Derontae “Bebee” rejected their plea deals and decided to remain solid. The Judge told them they could be released immediately and they decided to turn down the deal and remain in jail with Young Thug and take it to trial‼️???? pic.twitter.com/8x03cZs6tY

Meanwhile, as Thug currently awaits trial for RICO charges, his lawyer, Brian Steele, issued a statement claiming that the rapper is not doing well behind bars, EUR previously reported.
“It is unjust that [Young Thug] rots in the County Jail and has not yet been provided complete discovery by the prosecution and is being required to wait on the appointment of counsel for co-indictees,” Steele said. “This Honorable Court must intervene to prevent this injustice.”
Brian’s statement follows the third denial of bail for Thug’s friend and label mate Gunna.
