*Migos rapper Quavo is facing a substantial federal tax lien, TMZ reports. The IRS alleges that the hip-hop star, legally Quavious Keyate Marshall, did not pay federal income taxes for three consecutive years.
According to the filings, Quavo owes $915,660 for 2021, $887,486 for 2022, and $1,109,497.79 for 2023, totaling $2,912,644.33. A federal tax lien is a claim the government can make on a person’s property when taxes go unpaid, which may affect credit and other financial dealings. The IRS generally files liens after multiple reminders and attempts to collect the outstanding amount.
“We have made a demand for payment of this liability, but it remains unpaid,” reads the IRS notice to Quavo, per Billboard. “Therefore, there is a lien in favor of the United States on all property and rights to property belonging to this taxpayer.”

Quavo has not publicly responded, and it is unclear whether he plans to contest the lien or arrange payment.
Outside of financial news, Quavo has been busy with new projects. He stars in the 2026 crime drama “Moses the Black,” which opened in theaters on January 30. Inspired by the fourth-century saint, the film follows Chicago gangster Malik on a journey of reckoning. Omar Epps plays Malik, Wiz Khalifa portrays 2wo-3ree, the volatile leader of Malik’s crew, and Quavo takes on the role of Straw, Malik’s rival gang leader. Chukwudi Iwuji embodies St. Moses the Black.
The movie blends suspense, moral courage, and contemporary relevance, accompanied by a hypnotic original soundtrack executive-produced by Wiz Khalifa and featuring Quavo. Producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson noted that the film is about “redemption and real change.”
He added, “It’s raw, it’s emotional, and it’s powerful. I can’t wait for audiences to see it.”
