*Meta is broadening its subscription business with a series of new paid offerings that span social media, messaging and artificial intelligence products.
The initiative is being developed under a wider strategy known as Meta One, which the company says is intended to bring together subscription services across its ecosystem, Fox News reports. The company is preparing to test AI-focused plans priced at $7.99 and $19.99 per month. According to Meta, those tiers will provide access to additional AI capabilities, including enhanced reasoning functions and expanded image and video generation tools. The AI subscriptions will initially be introduced in select international markets and are expected to bundle premium experiences from Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
“We’re also testing new subscription plans that offer premium features for those who want to unlock more from our apps and AI glasses,” Meta head of product Naomi Gleit said while announcing the plans.

Alongside its AI efforts, Meta is introducing consumer subscriptions for its three major platforms. Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus will be priced at $3.99 per month, while WhatsApp Plus will cost $2.99 monthly. The company expects the plans to begin rolling out globally in the coming weeks.
Instagram subscribers will receive additional controls for Stories, deeper audience analytics, profile customization features and more profile pin options. Facebook users who enroll in the paid tier will gain access to upgraded Story tools, animated reactions and expanded personalization settings. WhatsApp’s subscription package includes custom themes, premium stickers, personalized ringtones and additional chat pinning features.
“We’re starting to roll out Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus, WhatsApp Plus with enhanced features that our community already loves,” Gleit said.
Meta is also developing separate subscription products aimed at creators and businesses. Those offerings are expected to include audience insights, collaboration features, improved profile visibility, clickable links in Instagram posts and Reels, and account support tools. Initial testing will take place in selected markets.
The company said these new services are distinct from Meta Verified, its existing subscription product focused on account verification and protection against impersonation. Over time, Meta plans to position Meta One as a central hub connecting its growing collection of subscription offerings.
