*Lamar Odom has been legally forced out of a high-end rental property in Los Angeles after reportedly failing to pay tens of thousands in rent.
As the New York Post reports, court documents reveal that Executive Recovery Group, Inc., the sublessor of the Studio City home, filed a lawsuit against Odom on March 20, alleging that he skipped out on three months of rent totaling $45,000. The complaint states that Odom had agreed to a month-to-month oral rental agreement in mid-December 2024, with a commitment to pay $15,000 per month.
According to the lawsuit, rent payments were due on the first of each month. However, by the end of March 2025, Odom allegedly had not made any payments for January, February, or March. The sublessor claims they served him with multiple notices, including a formal three-day notice to pay or vacate posted on the property on March 11. That notice warned, “If you fail to perform or otherwise comply, Landlord declares the forfeiture of the lease or rental agreement under which you occupy said premises.”
A copy of the notice was also mailed to Odom, and the sublessor later filed an “election of forfeiture,” effectively ending his lease on March 17.
When Odom failed to respond to the legal action, the court ruled in favor of Executive Recovery Group on April 28. The judgment granted the company possession of the home and ordered Odom to leave the premises.

Odom’s life has seen multiple public setbacks in recent years. In 2015, he nearly died of an overdose at a Nevada brothel, suffering a series of strokes and heart attacks while in a coma. His wife at the time, Khloé Kardashian, postponed their divorce during his recovery, but the marriage officially ended in December 2016.
Despite his personal and legal troubles, Odom has been candid about his past and has since launched the Odom Wellness Treatment Centers, aimed at helping individuals recover from addiction.
