*KT Winery, a Black and Asian, woman-owned wine company based in Denver with Charlotte roots, celebrated Women’s History Month (March, 2025) by welcoming two trailblazing female founders to its board of advisors.
Monique Rodriguez, founder of Mielle Organics, and Rachel Roff, founder of Urban Skin RX, are the latest additions to KT Winery’s board.
This announcement comes on the heels of KT Winery launching its WeFunder investment campaign, inviting others to join the effort to support women-led brands.
Founded in 2020, KT Winery is known for its flagship brand, Mom Juice Wine. The company has gained popularity for its commitment to low-sugar, ingredient-transparent wines, and is sold in over 500 locations nationwide, including major retailers such as Target, Total Wine, and Safeway.

The announcement of Rodriguez and Roff joining KT Winery’s advisory board reflects the company’s ongoing mission to empower women and bring diversity to the wine industry.
Monique Rodriguez, who founded the globally recognized beauty brand Mielle Organics, shared her excitement about the new role.
“When I founded Mielle Organics, it was difficult to find mentorship from other Black, female founders.
That’s why I’m honored to join KT Winery’s board of advisors and share my expertise with another female-founded, Black and AAPI-owned company on a mission to bring diversity to the wine industry,” Rodriguez explained.
Rachel Roff, who also serves as an investor in KT Winery, emphasized the brand’s strong positioning in the market.

“I truly believe in the name Mom Juice—it’s golden. So many startups have a great product, but miss the mark on branding and creativity. Mom Juice gets it right,” Roff said. “What convinced me to invest was the grit, tenacity, and hustle of the founders. Their commitment and strategic mindset set them apart, and I have no doubt that Mom Juice is built for success.”
KT Winery co-founders Kristin Taylor and Macie Mincey are excited to welcome Rodriguez and Roff as strategic advisors.
Mincey reflected on their impact, saying, “We’re honored to have Monique and Rachel join our advisory board. They each have successfully scaled brands from grassroots to global recognition while maintaining a strong sense of community.Their insights will help us grow KT Winery smartly and sustainably.”
The company believes that Rodriguez and Roff’s experiences in building successful brands—Mielle Organics and Urban Skin RX, respectively—will guide KT Winery as it continues its growth trajectory.
Their expertise in scaling production, distribution, and branding will be instrumental as KT Winery looks to expand its retail presence and engage with diverse consumer markets.

As women founders in predominantly male-dominated industries, both Rodriguez and Roff have valuable advice for aspiring female entrepreneurs.
Kristin Taylor, CEO and co-founder of KT Winery, echoed their sentiments: “Don’t be afraid to take up space and bring your entire self to the table. Surround yourself with the right support system—advisors, mentors, peers—and stay persistent,” she said. “Our journey at KT Winery shows that success is possible on your own terms.”
Diversity and inclusion are central to KT Winery’s mission. Taylor emphasized the importance of diversity in driving innovation and connection with customers:
“When different perspectives come together, you uncover fresh ideas that resonate with a broader audience.
Taylor added: “Our company was founded by women of Black and Asian backgrounds, and our mission reflects that core belief in representation.”
KT Winery’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is apparent in its products, branding, and leadership.
The company’s founders are dedicated to ensuring that the wine industry reflects the diverse consumer base they serve.
For KT Winery, Women’s History Month is not only a time to celebrate women’s achievements, but also an opportunity to make history.
The company’s founders believe in the power of women’s voices in shaping industries, including wine.
“We’re not just celebrating history—we’re making it,” said Mincey. “Celebrating Women’s History Month while carving out space in an industry where women have historically been underrepresented pushes us to continue showing up, innovating, and supporting other women founders.”
As KT Winery expands its reach and capitalizes on new opportunities, the company’s future is focused on two key principles: innovation in product development and inclusive growth. Taylor added, “We’re committed to transparency and inclusivity, and we see KT Winery continuing to distinguish itself by embracing both.”
KT Winery’s WeFunder campaign, which is open until April 30, 2025, invites others to invest in this women-led brand and help the company reach a fundraising goal of $1.1 million.
The company aims to use the funds to increase its retail footprint and continue its mission of diversity and health-conscious winemaking.
Founded in 2020 by Kristin Taylor and Macie Mincey, KT Winery is a Black and AAPI-owned company committed to bringing low-sugar, transparent winemaking to the marketplace.

Based in Denver, KT Winery’s flagship brand, Mom Juice, is sold in over 500 locations nationwide.
