*Hulu has unveiled the official trailer and key art for Season 14 of “King of the Hill,” marking the return of the beloved animated comedy after more than a decade off the air.
The new season picks up years later, with Hank and Peggy Hill coming back to a very different Arlen, Texas, after retiring from a propane job in Saudi Arabia, per the synopsis. Now 21, Bobby Hill is pursuing his culinary dreams as a chef in Dallas, while reconnecting with old friends Connie, Joseph, and Chane as he adjusts to adult life.
Ronny Chieng joins the cast this season as Kahn Souphanousinphone, the Hills’ Laotian neighbor. “Kahn is arrogant and has maintained his superiority complex towards his Arlen neighbors,” according to the official description. “He is ultra-competitive and often butts heads with Hank as he attempts to ‘win’ at life.”
Returning cast members include Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss. Watch the official trailer above.

Here’s the full synopsis: Set in the fictional Arlen, Texas, the original series followed the life of Hank Hill, an enthusiastic seller of propane and propane accessories; his wife, Peggy, local Boggle champ and substitute teacher; and their son, Bobby, who defied any expectation his father had for a son. Hank’s friends – conspiracy theorist Dale, military barber Bill, and cool but inarticulate Boomhauer, along with Peggy’s friends Minh and meteorologist Nancy, and Bobby’s friend Connie helped the Hills navigate a changing world.
Produced by 20th Television Animation, “King of the Hill” is executive produced by series creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, along with Saladin Patterson, who also serves as showrunner. Michael Rotenberg, Howard Klein, and Dustin Davis are executive producers as well.
The original run of the series aired for 13 seasons on Fox and earned an Emmy. All previous episodes are available to stream on Hulu.
