*Jersey Mike’s has moved ahead of Chick-fil-A in the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index quick-service restaurant rankings.
The sandwich chain earned a score of 84 out of 100 in the 2026 survey. Chick-fil-A followed with 83, slipping to second place after years of leading the category, Fox News reports.
The result gives the quick-service restaurant ranking its first new No. 1 brand in more than 10 years, according to ACSI. Researchers based the study on 16,464 completed customer surveys collected by email from April 2025 through March 2026.

ACSI called Jersey Mike’s “a new leader among QSRs” and connected the chain’s ranking to its broader growth.
“Jersey Mike’s ACSI success is consistent with their business performance, including rapid unit growth, strong customer demand, and a model designed around throughput and off-premise convenience from high digital pickup usage,” the report stated.
Jersey Mike’s began in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, in 1956. The company now operates more than 4,000 locations across the United States and Canada. The chain is known for made-to-order submarine sandwiches and a focused menu. ACSI also pointed to its franchise model as one factor supporting the brand’s performance.
Chick-fil-A still ranked near the top despite losing the No. 1 spot. Jimmy John’s and Panda Express tied for third with scores of 81. KFC, Papa Johns and Pizza Hut followed with scores of 80. Domino’s, Raising Cane’s, Starbucks and Subway each scored 79. Burger King, Culver’s, Dunkin’, Little Caesars and Panera Bread landed at 78.
Dairy Queen and McDonald’s tied for the lowest score among the major quick-service chains included in the survey, with each earning 72.
The ranking highlights how customer satisfaction has become a key battleground for fast-food chains.
