*The 31st Critics’ Choice Awards unfolded live on Sunday, January 4, returning to the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Hosted by Chelsea Handler, the ceremony continued its tradition of honoring achievements across film, television, and streaming under one combined event.
The evening featured comprehensive coverage beyond the main broadcast, including red-carpet arrivals, backstage moments, and fashion recaps across E!’s platforms. This expansive approach offered viewers a full-night experience surrounding the awards presentation.
As Deadline reports, “One Battle After Another” claimed the Best Feature award, and also delivered major wins for Paul Thomas Anderson, who earned Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay honors.

Acting prizes highlighted a mix of rising talent and established performers. Timothée Chalamet won Best Actor for A24’s “Marty Supreme,” while Jessie Buckley secured Best Actress for Focus Features’ “Hamnet.” Supporting awards went to Jacob Elordi for Netflix’s “Frankenstein” and Amy Madigan for Warner Bros’ “Weapons.”
Warner Bros.’ “Sinners” emerged with four wins, including Best Original Screenplay and a new Casting and Ensemble award. “Frankenstein” also matched that total, collecting additional trophies in technical categories.
Additional film wins went to “KPop Demon Hunters,” “F1,” “The Secret Agent,” “The Naked Gun,” “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” “Train Dreams,” and “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.”
On television, “The Pitt” was named Best Drama Series, and comedy accolades went to “The Studio” and “Hacks.” Rhea Seehorn won Best Actress in a Drama Series for Apple TV’s “Pluribus.” ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” took Best Talk Show.
Netflix’s “Adolescence” led the limited series categories with four wins and finished the night as the most awarded distributor.
