The Chicago icon also dropped the Michele Clark Magnet High School to treat students to lunch from the Raising Cane’s food truck and serve as “Principal Chance the Rapper” for the day.
“I’m so blessed by this donation from Raising Cane’s for my charity SocialWorks. I’m always proud to collaborate with brands that put emphasis on giving back to charities and working with nonprofits,” said Chance, who launched his youth empowerment charity SocialWorks in 2016.
SocialWorks helps thousands of youths each year through focuses on education, mental health, homelessness, and performing and literary arts.
“The first time I had Raising Cane’s was in Atlanta and we were at the studio late-night trying to figure out where to eat. I love a Box Combo with extra toast!” the three-time GRAMMY-award-winning artist added.

Chance greeted fans at the restaurant and also served up a Box Combo for his brother Taylor Bennett, per the news release.
“Chance embodies Chicago and the great food, music and culture that this city represents, so it was great having him out to our Restaurant today to celebrate his latest music and the impact he’s made through SocialWorks,” said Todd Graves, Cane’s owner and founder.
“This $100,000 donation to SocialWorks will help Chance continue empowering Chicago youth and providing them with opportunities to thrive. Chance and his team have made such a positive impact in the community and I’m looking forward to seeing all the lives he continues to change through SocialWorks,” Graves added.
