*“The Sisters Grimm” is an all-new animated fantasy adventure series based on Michael Buckley’s bestselling books, and it premiered globally on Friday, October 3. Streaming now on AppleTV+, the series is perfect for the whole family, blending whimsical storytelling with engaging characters and a fresh twist on classic fairy tales. Two orphaned sisters navigate a town populated with heroes, villains, and fantastical figures, uncovering the mystery of their missing parents while discovering the power of teamwork and courage.
In the series, Billy Harris lends his voice to Puck, a mischievous, unpredictable companion whose energy adds humor and heart to the sisters’ adventures. Reflecting on his first major voice acting role, Harris says, “I think what was great about this was just being able to tap into like my 12 year old self and knowing that I wasn’t as far away from the character as I thought I was. I was 30 years old and not 12. But I found myself leaving the recording studio and just thinking that was very therapeutic. I got just to scream and shout and holler and pretend I was flying for an hour.”
Harris embraced the challenge of giving Puck both his signature playful spirit and a deeper emotional dimension. “The more vulnerable side to him, I found…this is where we have to show the difference. He’s not just a silly kid,” he explains. From the character’s initial introduction to scenes highlighting his warmth and connection to the Grimm sisters, Harris worked to convey Puck’s evolving personality through voice alone, relying on clear intention and fearless experimentation in the studio.
Part of what makes Puck such a standout character is his dynamic with Sabrina and Daphne. “He’s always just been…almost like the assistant to the storyline. And what was great is you start to see him becoming the three rather than two and one,” Harris says. Puck’s journey emphasizes unlikely companionship, showing that differences can become strengths when friends come together. “It doesn’t matter whether you are different at the beginning, if you find a common ground that you can create a really cool friendship.”
Harris also drew inspiration from classic performances, noting, “I really love Jim Carrey in The Grinch…and when I first read the script, I was like, Oh, this is kind of similar, because he’s kind of being a little bit, you know, not very nice…But you can tell that there’s affection there. I tried to channel that just in a more youthful way.” His playful improvisations, combined with guidance from experienced directors, helped breathe life into Puck while keeping him authentic and fun.
For Harris, Puck’s story is ultimately one about teamwork and growth. “What you do get to see with Puck…is him realizing that he can’t just be that guy that’s always there, just saying something. He needs to work with them,” he says. The series celebrates collaboration, friendship, and the ways even the most unpredictable characters can contribute to a greater mission.

With a stellar voice cast, including Ariel Winter, Leah Newman, Laraine Newman, Abubakar Salim, and Harry Trevaldwyn, “The Sisters Grimm” is as charming as it is adventurous. Developed by Emmy-nominated showrunners Amy Higgins and Erica Rothschild, and animated by the Emmy-winning studio Titmouse, the six-episode series delivers humor, heart, and lessons for audiences of all ages.
Whether it’s Puck’s wild antics, the Grimm sisters’ sleuthing, or the fantastical town full of heroes and villains, “The Sisters Grimm” brings a fresh, magical perspective to classic fairy tales. As Harris notes, it’s a story about finding your place in the world, building meaningful connections, and embracing adventure — one voice, one laugh, and one lesson at a time.
