*A new trailer has dropped for “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” the third film in James Cameron’s record-breaking franchise. The movie will premiere exclusively in theaters on December 19, 2025, presented in formats such as IMAX 3D, Dolby Cinema 3D, RealD 3D, Cinemark XD, 4DX, and ScreenX.
The new preview teases an epic continuation of the story set on Pandora, following Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), now a Na’vi leader, and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) as they face new challenges with their family. The cast also features Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, David Thewlis, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, Britain Dalton, Jamie Flatters, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Brendan Cowell, Bailey Bass, Filip Geljo, Duane Evans Jr., and Kate Winslet.

The film’s screenplay was written by Cameron, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver, with the story developed by Cameron, Jaffa, Silver, Josh Friedman, and Shane Salerno. This latest chapter promises to immerse audiences deeper into Pandora’s world, exploring the ongoing clash between the Na’vi and human forces led by Colonel Miles Quaritch.
In preparation for the upcoming release, “Avatar: The Way of Water,” which premiered in 2022 and earned over $2.3 billion worldwide, will return to theaters for a special one-week 3D engagement beginning October 3. The film previously won an Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects.
The “Avatar” saga will continue beyond “Fire and Ash,” with “Avatar 4” slated for release in 2029 and “Avatar 5” planned for 2031, ensuring that Cameron’s visionary exploration of Pandora will captivate audiences for years to come. Watch the new trailer above.
