*Algerian boxer Imane Khelif is currently embroiled in controversy over gender eligibility issues concerning the athlete’s participation in the women’s boxing category at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
For those with eyes to see, Khelif, who reportedly has XY chromosomes and high levels of testosterone, is a man, but the highly education liberals and progressives want us to believe Imane is a woman with some sort of sexual development disorder (DSD). Popular transexual activist Buck Angel noted on X/Twitter, “Why are there no XX “males” with DSD competing in men’s sports? Do they exist? Why is everything always about women’s sports and women’s spaces?”
The International Boxing Association released the letter it sent to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in June 2023, informing them that Khelif was ineligible to participate at the IBA World Championships as a female boxer due to their requirement of being female (XX). In other words, DNA tests allegedly revealed male chromosomes.
Taiwan’s Lin Yu-Ting faced a similar situation, as he/she was also ruled ineligible to compete for not meeting the gender eligibility standards. Both cases are at the center of online debate due to their participation in the women’s boxing category at the Paris Olympics.

Critics argue that the controversy surrounding Khelif is not about being transgender, but about biological sex. They claim tests indicate Khelif is male and question why Khelif has not released these results if they would prove otherwise. They believe that if Khelif had XX chromosomes, releasing the test results would quickly resolve the issue, but the refusal to do so suggests otherwise.
Meanwhile, the IOC claims both individuals met all criteria and that there’s no question they are women. Khelif now wants the bullying and online harassment to stop, USA Today reports.

“I send a message to all the people of the world to uphold the Olympic principles and the Olympic Charter, to refrain from bullying all athletes, because this has effects, massive effects,” Khelif said in Arabic in an interview with SNTV, according to The Associated Press. “It can destroy people, it can kill people’s thoughts, spirit and mind. It can divide people. And because of that, I ask them to refrain from bullying.”
“I don’t care about anyone’s opinion,” Khelif said. “I came here for a medal, and to compete for a medal. I will certainly be competing to improve (and) be better, and God willing, I will improve, like every other athlete.”

Thomas Bach, president of the IOC, is trying to convince critics that Lin and Khelif are cisgender women. He urged “really everyone to respect these women, to respect them as women, as human beings.”
“I know that the Olympic Committee has done me justice, and I am happy with this remedy because it shows the truth,” Khelif said while noting that his family “are worried about me.”
“God willing, this crisis will culminate in a gold medal, and that would be the best response,” Khelif continued.

Let the critics tell it, Khelif’s participation at the 2024 Olympics has made him the global face of beating up women for sport and entertainment.
If watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics wasn’t enough to boycott the Olympics, what about letting men beat up women?
