*Slutty Vegan founder Aisha “Pinky” Cole claimed a courtroom win Thursday after a federal judge determined that a creditor had wrongfully taken possession of one of her properties in the wake of her bankruptcy filing, Atlanta News First reports.
Cole initiated a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case on February 12, following an earlier Chapter 13 attempt in January that she chose to withdraw. Her total reported debt sits at roughly $1.4 million, with the largest portion — $1.2 million — tied to a U.S. Small Business Administration loan connected to COVID-19 relief funding, plus a separate balance of close to $200,000 owed to the Georgia Department of Revenue.
At the heart of the legal dispute is a six-bedroom, four-bathroom home spanning 2,814 square feet in Loganville, Georgia, located about an hour from Atlanta. Guardian Asset Management moved in on the property February 20, placing a notice on the window and preventing Cole from entering. Cole had been in the process of lining up a tenant, with a lease agreement slated to begin April 1, as part of her broader plan to address her financial obligations.
Her attorney, Jamie Christy, did not mince words when describing the situation. “This was an investment property that was unlawfully seized from Ms. Cole. This unlawful seizure violated the automatic stay imposed in Ms. Cole’s bankruptcy case,” Christy said. The presiding judge sided with Cole, finding that Guardian had disregarded bankruptcy protections and ordering the company to cover attorney’s fees and related costs given Guardian’s “utter disregard of bankruptcy protections.”
Cole’s present debt load, while substantial, is considerably smaller than what she confronted before Slutty Vegan went through a restructuring process in 2025. At that earlier point, her liabilities had ballooned to nearly $20 million, a figure that expanded during a stretch when she was not actively involved in running the business.
Through it all, Cole has spoken openly about the personal weight of this period. In an Instagram video, she acknowledged, “The last couple of months, it’s probably been the most incredibly difficult of my entrepreneurial life,” before adding, “What a lot of us entrepreneurs go through, I have gone through. But I realized that as long as I continue to stick to my faith, God will always be by my side. And as hard as change is, it is necessary, but it’s always for the good.”
On the entertainment front, Cole is joining the cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” with the new season debuting April 5.
