*Mike Tyson has denied claims made by Jake Paul regarding his health, specifically the suggestion that he has Parkinson’s disease.
The controversy began when Paul mentioned the issue during a livestream with Adin Ross last Tuesday. At one point in the video, Paul, 28, discussed using substances like ayahuasca and mushrooms for wellness purposes.
“Toad cured Tyson’s Parkinson’s so that he could come back and fight,” he said during the conversation. “You smoke it. You smoke the frog venom. Toads from the Sonoran Desert in Mexico.”
After the clip went viral, a spokesperson for Tyson denied the claims to TMZ, saying, “Mike is happy and perfectly healthy. He doesn’t have Parkinson’s or any other illness.”
In response, Paul clarified that his comments were misconstrued, writing on X, “Bruh…Mike Tyson didn’t have no Parkinsons..WTF. Why the fuck is the internet so stupid for. I misspoke. Meant he used toad to heal his pain. He has spoken about it many times. Just like I do. Just like many do.”

Paul defeated Tyson by unanimous decision in a highly-publicized match on Nov. 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. After the event, Paul a/k/a “El Gallo,” shared that he noticed Tyson’s struggles in the ring and chose to ease up on his aggression to avoid a knockout.
Acknowledging the changes in his approach during the fight, Paul explained: “Yeah, definitely,” when asked if he had intentionally dialed it back in Round 3. “I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt.”
