*Snoop Dogg has taken another bold step in his entertainment empire. The hip-hop legend and his production company, Death Row Pictures, have entered into a multi-year creative partnership with NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios. This expansive agreement stretches across film, television, streaming, and sports entertainment, Deadline reports.
The collaboration represents a new chapter for the iconic Death Row brand, extending its influence beyond music. With Death Row Pictures at the helm, the company is positioning itself as a dynamic force in storytelling. One of the first major projects under the new deal is a long-awaited biopic chronicling Snoop Dogg’s life and rise to fame. The untitled film will be written by Joe Robert Cole and produced by Snoop alongside Brian Grazer and Death Row Pictures president Sara Ramaker.
Snoop is also set to return to NBC’s “The Voice” this fall, reclaiming his red chair for Season 28. Additionally, he will continue working with NBCUniversal across various projects, building on the momentum he generated during his standout role in NBC and Peacock’s 2024 Paris Olympics coverage.
“Not everyone has the courage and vision to see what Death Row Pictures can bring to the table, but Donna and the NBCUniversal team have always understood, which is why I am proud to call NBCUniversal my new home,” said Snoop. “The Dogg has officially moved into the neighborhood, ya dig?”
NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios Chairman Donna Langley praised Snoop’s creative versatility, calling him “unapologetically authentic” and highlighting his global appeal: “There’s only one Snoop, and we’re so excited for him to join our unbelievable roster of creative partners.”
