*Sherri Shepherd took April Fools’ Day to another level, pulling off a prank so convincing it had her audience gasping in disbelief. During Tuesday’s episode of “Sherri,” the talk show host paused the program for what appeared to be a deeply emotional confession.
“This is one of the hardest things that I’ve had to say to everybody,” Shepherd began as she built up the suspense Vibe reports. “I come on this show and I tell y’all everything. I’m very, very transparent about everything.”
With the audience hanging on her every word, she finally dropped the bombshell: “I went to the doctor yesterday… and I just wanted to share this with y’all ’cause it’s gonna come out… I went to the doctor yesterday and I was telling him all these symptoms that I was feeling. They ran all these tests, and he came back and the doctor told me… He said, ‘Sherri, I think that you’re pregnant.’”
Gasps filled the room, followed by a mix of applause and stunned silence. Even “Sherri” executive producer and former EURweb columnist, Jawn Murray, was caught off guard, exclaiming, “Oh lord!” To make the prank even more believable, an image of an ultrasound and a positive pregnancy test appeared on the studio’s display screen.

But before the moment could spiral further, Shepherd, bursting into laughter, came clean. “Okay, I can’t even do it,” she admitted, breaking the tension. “April Fools, y’all!”
Murray, still processing the joke, said, “You should feel my heart palpitations. Can someone bring me my blood pressure medicine, please?” he joked.
Shepherd explained that the prank was simply a fun way to showcase her acting skills. She reassured the crowd, “Not pregnant. No, no, no.”
Adding to the excitement, “Sherri” has officially been renewed for a fourth season, ensuring more laughs and surprises well into 2025-26.
