
*Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury has announced the renewal of “Sherri,” the nationally syndicated daytime talk show hosted by actress, comedian, and Daytime Emmy Award®-winning former co-host of “The View,” Sherri Shepherd.
The show has been picked up for a fourth season across more than 95 percent of the U.S., with major broadcast groups including FOX Television Stations, Nexstar, Hearst, Sinclair, Gray, Tegna, and Sunbeam set to bring the hit series back for the 2025-26 season.
A Ratings Powerhouse
The renewal follows a standout February sweeps period, where “Sherri” ranked as the No. 2-rated syndicated talk show in Nielsen’s metered markets. The show saw an impressive 33% increase from November 2024 in the key daytime demographic of women 25-54. Nationally, “Sherri” ranked No. 3 among syndicated talk shows, surging 17% compared to November and hitting a season high the week of February 17.
FOX Television Stations Executive Vice President of Programming Frank Cicha emphasized the show’s continued importance, stating, “The Sherri Shepherd Show remains a lynchpin of our daytime lineup. We’re very happy to be bringing it back.”
Industry Leaders Praise Sherri’s Success
Debmar-Mercury Co-Presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus highlighted the show’s value in the competitive daytime landscape, stating, “Sherri will continue to provide stations with the quality original first-run daily programming they need to succeed in daytime. Over the past three seasons, the show has proven its value to stations and advertisers, with Sherri Shepherd as the only single-host comedian on daytime TV able to deliver her audience a much-needed daily dose of laughs. We thank our great broadcast partners for continuing to make Sherri a foundational element of their lineups.”
