
*Grammy-winning artist Lizzo is candidly detailing the dietary and lifestyle changes that fueled her remarkable health transformation, as featured in the July 1 issue of Women’s Health magazine.
Since January 2023, Lizzo has reduced her body fat by 16% and lowered her BMI by 10.5 points, reaching her weight loss goal in January 2025. Her daily meals include a breakfast of “two scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, and a cauliflower hash brown.” For lunch, she enjoys “a shredded Thai chicken salad, lettuce wraps stuffed with tuna, and sliced chicken breast.”
Dinner, typically eaten before 5 p.m., features “turkey meatloaf with cauliflower mashed potatoes and green beans.” This early dining schedule helps manage her gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), as she noted, “I have GERD, so my body needs time to digest food before I go to sleep, so acid doesn’t roll up to my throat.”
Beyond her meal plan, Lizzo’s transformation involved significant lifestyle shifts. After a year of veganism, she adopted a calorie deficit to address binge eating, a change she discussed in a recent TikTok Live. Cutting out sugary Starbucks drinks, which once added 1,200 daily calories, and eliminating coffee helped regulate her nervous system.
Lizzo also tackled her anxiety through meditation and intentional isolation, stating, “I’ve been working to get my anxiety under control for years.” The result? “I felt lighter, energetically and emotionally.”
