*The long-standing rivalry between rappers Ja Rule and 50 Cent flared up again on when Ja Rule took to social media to poke fun at 50 Cent’s ongoing European tour.
As Vibe reports, Ja called out a reported “two-for-one” ticket deal for 50 Cent’s London concert, and suggested that his rival was struggling to fill seats. When a fan of 50 Cent countered on X with evidence of sold-out shows, Ja Rule stood firm, posting a video clip from one of 50’s concerts that showed a packed standing area but visibly sparse seating sections. “You sure bout that??? Ain’t nobody coming to see you, Otis… I mean Curtis,” Ja Rule jabbed, referencing a line from “The Temptations.”
This latest exchange adds fuel to a feud that has spanned decades, originating in their shared Queens, New York roots and occasionally escalating to physical confrontations. The tension also revisited a past claim by 50 Cent, who, during a recent interview with Big Boy, boasted about purchasing the first four rows of a Ja Rule concert to leave them empty.
“I did [buy Ja Rule’s tickets],” 50 Cent confirmed. “They were cheap tickets. They were on StubHub. I just want you to feel like you gotta reach the people, four or five rows back.” He added, “It wasn’t that big of a sacrifice. That was fun, watching the show and seeing the spaces are empty because they were reserved for someone else.”
Ja Rule, however, wasn’t buying it. He swiftly dismissed the story on X, calling it fabricated and challenging 50 Cent’s account. “You believe this dumb sh*t??? Like I said before I got 10k for ANYONE who can produce this footage… what city/venue did this said show take place??? @50cent is a fat f**king LIAR,” he posted.

This wasn’t the first time 50 Cent made such a claim. Back in 2018, Page Six reported a now-deleted Instagram post where 50 Cent claimed to have bought 200 front-row seats to a Ja Rule show to keep them vacant, mocking the $15 ticket price. “People think I’m mean so go see this. $15 bucks. Wait what I do now lol,” he wrote, later adding, “I just bought 200 seats in the front row so they can be empty LOL.”
The ongoing back-and-forth between these two hip-hop heavyweights shows no signs of cooling down, with each artist using social media and public platforms to keep their rivalry in the spotlight.
