*Comedian Tommy Davidson is set to star in a new holiday movie coming to theaters just in time for Christmas.
Atlas Distribution Company announced the upcoming release “Mr. Santa: A Christmas Extravaganza” will arrive in theaters December 6th! Davidson (“In Living Color,” “The Proud Family”), co-stars with Geoffrey Owens (“Power Book II: Ghost,” “Poppa’s House”) and features Wakeema Hollis (“Aurora: A Love Story,” “And Just Like That…”).
Here’s the official synopsis: “Mr. Santa: A Christmas Extravaganza follows three music-loving teens clashing with the “popular” kids that are attempting to crush their annual Christmas show dreams. Inspired by the kids’ passion, Santa (Owens) hatches a plan and steps in as a substitute teacher. With the stakes higher than ever, delivering toys to a billion children suddenly seems easy compared to restoring teenagers’ belief in the holiday spirit and saving Christmas before time runs out,” per the news release.

“The traditional distribution model doesn’t exactly work anymore so I was seeking an innovative, data driven distribution option and Atlas’ expertise in family films makes them the ideal partner for Mr. Santa: A Christmas Extravaganza,” stated Noel Calloway, Writer/Director/Producer.
“Mr. Santa: A Christmas Extravaganza” is produced by Ten Media and Jay Stern, Yandy Smith, and Kristi Kilday. Calloway penned the script with his daughter, Kellen Calloway, who also serves as a producer. The film and soundtrack feature original holiday music by Kenny Lattimore and Yandy Smith, per the release.
