*Trey Songz has been ordered to pay $11 million in a lawsuit filed by Maryland Capitol police officer Tyrelle Dunn.
As Hot New Hip Hop reports, Dunn accused the singer of assaulting him in 2021 when he attempted to save his wife after hearing screaming inside Songz’s hotel room. He later sued over his injuries and the court issued a default judgment after Songz failed to respond to the lawsuit, according to TMZ.
“Plaintiff’s wife was escorted by Defendant security personnel to room 6014 where she was told she would meet Trey Songz,” the lawsuit states. “That while in room 6014, plaintiff’s wife was assaulted, tried to leave and had her phone taken away.”
Dunn claims he heard his wife screaming for help as he approached the hotel room.
“The attack has had a profound and everyday impact on my life. I still have the scarring, and suffer emotionally from the attack,” Dunn wrote. “I think about the attack every day when I see the injuries to my face and body.”

Dunn allegedly sustained multiple injuries, including fractures to both eye sockets. In a 911 call obtained by 8 News Now, a worker described Dunn as being “battered.”
“He was battered in a room and we can’t go up there because we’re not sure if the people are armed,” the worker told the operator. “They battered him and they stole his money and his chain.”
Earlier this year, Songz settled with a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her at a Los Angeles party in 2016.
We reported earlier that the woman (identified as Jane Doe) initially filed a $20 million lawsuit in 2022 but it was dismissed after Songz’s team successfully argued that her claim was past the statute of limitations. According to Rolling Stone, she refiled the case a year later and settled with the singer this year.
