*Ever since Toni Braxton and Birdman (Bryan Christopher Williams) became an on-and-off 2-some several years ago, folks have been trying to put them in the married category.
Welp. The latest rumor has the singer and Cash Money Records CEO as being “official” via a ceremony in Mexico. On top of that, Toni’s sister Tamar was out there creating mischief by playing along with the rumors, saying she’d been “blowing up” her sister’s phone to find out the truth.
Toni wasn’t down with the games and headed to the ‘Gram on Sunday (12-21-23) to shut down what she labeled as “fake news.”
“My dear friend @birdman and I are not married…never been married,” she wrote in the caption of her post, which she titled #FakeNews. “We are both single.”
“We are both single.” Hmm. Let that sink in. Meantime, check out Toni’s IG post below.

Braxton and Birdman have had an on-again, off-again relationship for many years.
The couple’s creative and professional relationship stretches back to 2002 when they collaborated on Birdman’s song “Baby You Can Do It.”
They began dating in 2016 after rumors about their relationship had already surfaced. Toni addressed the nature of their relationship in a 2017 episode of Braxton Family Values, where she revealed that Birdman was an “undercover romantic.”
Braxton, 56, and Williams 54, confirmed they were engaged in early 2018 after knowing each other for 16 years and keeping in touch through life’s ups and downs.
“He’s a gentleman. He’s such a gentleman. Opening doors … I promise you,” Braxton said on the “Angie Martinez Show.”
Well, here’s as far as where things stand now. Page Six notes that Braxton and Birdman appeared to be going strong as recently as November when she posted a photo of them and wrote, “Sending Sunday kisses.”
However, since then, she has removed the image — as well as all images of the hip-hop CEO from her Instagram page.
Birdman also has taken down his images that feature Braxton.
So, nope, they are definitely not married.
