*T-Pain said he removes his name from country songs he co-writes and cited racism as the reason.
“Because as cool as it is to see your name in the credits and stuff like that, the racism that comes after it is just… I’ll just take the check. Don’t put me on that s***. I’ll just take the check, bro,” he said in a video uploaded to his Instagram account on Tuesday, Daily Mail reports.
“A lot of the people I know feel like it’s not cool to listen to other genres of music, but country [and gospel] music is where I get all my harmonies from,” he added.

T-Pain didn’t mention any specific country songs he’s worked on, prompting one fan to write in the comments, “now i want to hear these Tpain country tunes.”
