*Porsha Williams, who signed a prenuptial agreement upon marrying Simon Guobadia, is now petitioning the court to enforce it amidst their divorce proceedings.
According to Radar Online, Williams noted in her divorce petition that their date of marriage was November 25, 2022, and she and Simon are currently “living in a bona fide state of separation.”
We reported earlier via People that Williams officially filed for divorce from her spouse of 15 months in Atlanta.
The timing of this announcement has fueled speculation, with swirling rumors regarding Guobadia’s U.S. citizenship status. However, a source has clarified to PEOPLE that the reason for their separation is an “ongoing matter” and is “unrelated to recent allegations involving Simon’s past.”
Per Radar, the petition said Porsha was “entitled to a divorce from Husband on the grounds that the marriage is irretrievably broken … and there are no prospects for a reconciliation.”
Williams claims she signed a Prenuptial Agreement dated November 17, 2022, “which sets forth each party’s separate property interests and marital property interests.”
The petition said, “Wife requests that said Prenuptial Agreement be enforced by this Court and be made a part of this Court’s Final Judgment and Decree of Divorce.”
Per Radar, Porsha’s lawyer added, “Wife is hopeful the parties will reach an agreement settling all issues pending between them; however, if such an agreement cannot be reached, Wife reserves the right to amend this Complaint accordingly.”
