*A manager at Randy Moss’s Crisppi’s Chicken restaurant in downtown Huntington, West Virginia, says sales are poor because the establishment is Black-owned.

SandraRose.com reports that the restaurant was opened by the NFL Hall of Famer four months ago to much fanfare. However, all the Black employees were allegedly fired. A manager named “Kurt” claims they quit due to an inability to handle the demands of hard work and punctuality.

Kurt asserts that the community’s lack of support stems from the restaurant’s ownership.

In a Facebook video, he said, “Great energy, great food. Randy Moss took his time out, invested his money… Since we’ve been here for the past few months it has been nothing but negativity from the community.”

Kurt continued: “The entire community is filled with negativity. Being an African American company, this is what we deal with on a regular basis… Unfortunately, we’re not the other color, which is unfortunate to you guys. Because if we were the other color, I’m sure there would be a lot more respect.”

As SandraRose reports, when Kurt appeared on a local podcast, he further elaborated on the local response to the eatery and lashed out at the Black community.

“What did our community do? They tore us down like they always do,” he said. “The African American community, we are known to tear each other down. The Chinese is not known for it, the Europeans — nobody else is known for it.”

In the comments of the SandraRose report, one person wrote, “So he makes it a race thing then blame others for making it a race thing. He blames white folks, then goes on a podcast and blames black folks. He blames everyone but the chicken, LOL! That chicken must be trash. Well, he may as well shut down because with his negative attitude he is done.”
