*Live Live Entertainment is thrilled to announce the groundbreaking Sons of Legends Concert, set to ignite hearts and spirits on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at UFCW Union Local 324 in Buena Park, California. This monumental Black History Month Dinner Concert aimed at fighting hunger, promises an unforgettable evening of soulful sounds from the sons of the iconic Motown group, The Temptations.
The purpose of this concert is nothing short of noble: to raise funds to eliminate hunger. All proceeds go to The Sonrise Community Church’s feeding program that nourishes 2,300 people every week. This historic event is the inaugural official Black History Event in Buena Park and has been planned in partnership with the Corporation for Artistic Development, Perceptive by Princess Va’Shion, and Sonrise Community Church. This event promises an unforgettable evening celebrating the rich contributions of Black Americans throughout history.
When Rev Thomas was asked why he was organizing this fundraiser that features the sons of the Motown Temptations, specifically David Ruffin Jr. and Paul Williams Jr, he said that “It bothered him to hear about the mother who ate the trash off of her children’s dinner plate because she could not afford groceries” he went on to share that “this feeding program is helping to prevent poverty-stricken individuals from stealing food from local businesses”.
Joining David Ruffin Jr. and Paul Williams Jr. on stage are an array of sensational talents including The Prison Doctor; Quasey; Violinist Lady Zhe; Baseball Legend Darryl Strawberry; The Diamond Singers; Carmel Grai; Trudotp; and the Jasper Boyz. The event will be held at UFCW Union Local 324, located at 8550 Stanton Avenue, Buena Park, CA, USA. Doors open at 4:30pm. Attendees can secure their tickets now on Eventbrite.
