According to In Touch, funeral plans have been made in anticipation of his passing during his cancer battle.

We reported via CNN that Buckingham Palace confirmed in February that Charles, 75, has a “form of cancer” that is not prostate cancer but did not specify further.

The palace said, “His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.”

“Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual,” it added.

The Blast reports that King Charles’ funeral procession, titled “Operation Menai Bridge,” is expected to resemble Queen Elizabeth II’s ceremony, known as “Operation London Bridge.”

“It’s a fairly common thing to do among the British royalty, but in Charles’ case, expediency is necessary,” a royal insider said of the plans, adding that “some courtiers believe Charles’ cancer is worse than they’re making it out to be.”

“It will have all the pomp and circumstance befitting a British monarch,” the source added.

“King Charles is much sicker than the palace lets on and simply isn’t up to the job of running his fractious family, the crown’s business interests, and fulfilling the daily duties of the monarchy,” the royal insider told In Touch. “His cancer is eating him alive. He’s very frail. The situation is desperate.”

According to palace insiders, King Charles does not yet trust his son, Prince William, to rule.

“Charles knows the pressures of being the monarch, and he just isn’t sure William is ready to take his place,” a source alleged, adding that William is “currently facing a public relations disaster.”

William’s wife, Kate Middleton, recently revealed her cancer diagnosis.
