*Janet Jackson explained in a new interview why she hates doing promotional work for her projects.
“I don’t mean to be rude, but I have to be honest with you,” she said during an interview with the radio program Heart Evenings with Dev Griffin. “Please stop asking me questions,” she jokingly added.
“I’ve never thought I give a good interview,” Jackson explained in the YouTube clip above.
“I really don’t like speaking, so I’d rather stay quiet and listen to other people talk, and that’s always been me.” She then joked with the host, “Are we finished?”
Jackson is currently on the North American portion of her “Together Again Tour,” which she described as “the hardest one I’ve done in a very long time,” but “it’s a fun show.”
The European leg of the tour kicks off in September. Below are the remaining dates on the U.S. tour.
“The Together Again Tour will offer everyone the chance to reunite with Ms. Jackson in celebration of her 50th anniversary in entertainment and spotlight the milestones for three of Jackson’s most critically acclaimed albums – 25 years of ‘The Velvet Rope’, 30 years of ‘janet’, and 35 years of ‘Rhythm Nation’ – featuring her biggest chart-topping hits,” said a press release statement.
