*The cause of death has been revealed for Keisha Whitaker, the ex-wife of actor Forest Whitaker.

Keisha died of alcoholic liver disease, according to her death certificate obtained by TMZ.

She passed away on Dec. 6 at age 51.

True, Whitaker’s 25-year-old daughter, shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram Story, writing, “Goodbye mommy. I love you 4ever and beyond. The most beautiful woman in the world … Thank you for teaching me every single thing I know. I’ll see you in my dreams and I’ll feel you in my heart.”

Keisha was married to Forest for 22 years before he filed docs in December 2018, saying irreconcilable differences made it “impossible for the parties to live together as husband and wife.” Their divorce was finalized in 2021.

The former couple met after playing on-screen lovers on the set of “Blown Away” in 1994. They married two years later in Montego Bay, Jamaica. They have two daughters, Sonnet and True, and Forest and Keisha each have a child from previous relationships.
