*For many singers, touring is the time to get closer to fans while proving how talented you are without studio interference. For Ari Lennox, her tour with rapper and singer Rod Wave will go down as a time when she was “never comfortable” on the road.

“I was never comfortable. I just remember every show, racing to get off stage, racing to get through my set,” Lennox recently shared during an Instagram Live while discussing her experience on tour and how she was treated during the 2 ½ month-long trek.

According to the vocalist, it wasn’t Wave who was the source of her unhappiness. It was the audiences she encountered at tour stops for the rapper’s Nostalgia tour.

“I started trying to communicate with the audience and then I realized they were getting angry at me affirming them,” Lennox recalled.

“You’re getting angry that I’m affirming you? This is not my crowd. And it’ll never be. And that’s alright,” she added.

Despite the negative reception from the crowd, Lennox carried on and remained on tour. As she continued her Instagram Live, the entertainer remembered her most notable ordeal during the Rod Wave tour.

According to HipHopDX, the incident centered around someone who pelted Lennox with a bottle while she performed during a show in Los Angeles in November.

“It was tough and it was heavy on my soul, especially the day when the bottle happened because that side of the stage, like, I felt the energy … It was just all darkness — that was literally the energy that was coming from the left side,” she said.

“I was on that stage and people would have shit on their screens saying ‘Next,’ and I can’t deal with sh*t like that. I’ll curse you out … What is this aggression? You’re that pissed?

“It was a lot for two and a half months, like, getting my wardrobe stolen,” continued Lennox. It was just a very hard two and a half f**king months. Very lonely too. But I thought it would be a good idea.”

Although the bottle missed her, the attempt was enough for Lennox to go on a rant and call out the person she believed threw the object.

While the bottle missed her, the “Shea Butter Baby” star went on a rant at the audience and called out who she believed threw the object.

“B*tch, I’ll f**k you up! Who the f**k did it? Who the fuck did it?” Lennox voiced after cutting the music to her set. “I’ll f**k y’all ass up. ‘Cause I don’t play that, I don’t feel that bullsh*t. I will f**k y’all sh*t all the way the f**k up! Don’t you ever disrespect a beautiful Black woman on the stage like that! I’ma f**king f**k you up. That’s the f**k right. Who did it, b*tch?”

Ultimately, Lennox got what she wanted, with someone appearing to confess to throwing the bottle, DX noted. Overall, the singer’s rant resulted in being cheered by the rest of the audience. After it appeared her microphone was cut, a security guard onstage escorted the “Shea Butter” singer off.

Before security arrived, Lennox gave the bottle thrower a piece of her mind in not-so-subtle terms.

“Right, come here, b*tch. Come here, let’s do it,” she stated. “Come here b*tch, you a pu**y. That’s right, you could never even be as good as a pu**y. That’s right, b*tch. You’re dumb. You’re weak.”
