Starting with The Perils of Success and ending with the title track “Words,” every composition spreads seeds of light through music. Dorie draws upon her Native American and African roots, which compel her to use her voice to bring attention to humanity.

When asked about her motivation for this particular album, Dorie replies: “My musical motivation was to write and sing words that entice, and open unconscious eyes to see the bigger purpose for our existence.”

London Carmichael dips in on No Time For Fear, adding a hip-hop flair. Love Conquers All and Lift You Up fuses a cool blend of smooth jazz and Latin jazz.
