*Busta Rhymes with his rich baritone voice; let it be known that Benzino has his number and could’ve called him about Busta‘s video “Luxury Life” with Coi Leray, Benzino’s daughter, which he found too provocative. Bus-a-Bus said on the “Way Up With Yee” radio show, that he felt there is a code of ethics that the founder of the Source magazine should adhere to instead of airing his grievances on social media. One person said, “I love the notion of addressing personal things in person, not on socials. It’s a hot mess when ppl go that route.” However, another fan called out Benzino’s apparent hypocrisy, “It’s crazy how Benzino feels disrespected with the lack of respect when it comes to his daughter being half naked in the music video but had ZERO issues when he himself was doing the exact same thing to 1000s of other women/daughters for decades!!! Watch what you do bc what goes around comes around. I’m sure those fathers were feeling the exact same way he is feeling now! and just like them there aint nothing u can do about it bc shes grown.🤷🏽‍♀️ she taking the same opportunities Benzino offered the other women. Don’t feel too good when it’s your baby girl huh.” Check out the full interview here.

Kevin Hart shared a video of Chris Brown because that’s how he perceives himself when he bust-a-moves. However, the comedian posted a video of himself actually getting jiggy with it, and let’s say it lacks a certain je ne sais quoi. Basically, it’s not giving and needs to be returned expeditiously. LOL, nah, we love you, Kev, you kinda understood the assignment but you remind us of a toddler trying to entertain the audience on amateur night at the Apollo. Retired NBA player Matt Barnes asked the comic in his comment section, “This ur stomp the yard addition tape?? Lol”

André 3000, government name André Lauren Benjamin, wants to do another OutKast album but is not excited to make music using his old process. One fan decided to write an epistle in the comment section expressing his respect and disappointment with 3Stacks‘ stance regarding making a hip-hop album, “I love the album. I love good music and it was a perfect orchestra, he can pivot and go into another lane and give inspiration in another manner. I Encourage any other rapper or artists to do the same if that’s part of your purpose. But To say you aren’t inspired to rap and have nothing to say when there are wars, corruption, and so much more happening in this world right now? Ppl of color are still living in Kaos in this country but you got nothing to say? Nas got something to say, Black Thought got something to say, aren’t they older than him? He could have transitioned into another genre of music without downplaying the culture, & yea 3 stacks, I’d rather hear you rap about your colonoscopy than 70% of the regurgitated content of today’s rap music. Lastly, whatever you would have rapped about, it doesn’t have to follow today’s trends or societal preferences. You are Andre 3000! One of this culture’s most profound writers. Great album minus the rap slandering.” Another fan showed more grace, “I don’t want uninspired music from an uninspired artist. Clearly, his heart isn’t in it and what Biggie say, “only make moves when your heart is in it.” Outkast are legends that’s already given us classic albums from the 90s and early 2000s to listen to. They don’t have anything left to prove. If the love isn’t there I don’t want to hear it anyway.” He’s an artist, and he’s sensitive about his ish. Fans will have to remain patient until some true inspiration hits André.

Oop! Mama Bear Tina Knowles had to address the critics who were talking recklessly about her daughter Beyoncé, accusing the megastar of bleaching her skin to appear more “White.” Miss Tina wrote a diatribe and unleased her ire upon Beyoncé‘s internet: “Came across this today and decided to post it after seeing all of the stupid ignorant self, hating racist statements about her, lightening her skin, and wearing platinum hair wanting to be white. She does a film, called the renaissance, where the whole theme is silver with silver hair, a silver carpet, and suggested silver attire and you bozos decide that she’s trying to be a white woman and is bleaching her skin? .. How sad is it that some of her own people continue the stupid narrative with hate and jealousy. Duh, she wore silver hair to match her silver dress as a fashion statement clown. . ALIEN Superstar duh! What’s really sad is that a white woman had the audacity to reach out to Neal Beyonce’s hairstylist she was from TMZ to say that the fans are saying that she wants to be white and she wanted to get a statement about it from Neal. . Well that made, my blood boil , that this white woman felt so entitled to discuss her blackness. What’s really most disappointing is that the some Black people yes you bozos that’s on social media. Lying and faking and acting like you’re so ignorant that you don’t understand That black women have worn platinum hair since the Etta James days. I just went and looked at all the beautiful talented black celebrities who have worn platinum hair and it has been just about every one of them at one time or another. Are they all trying to be white? I am sick and tired of people attacking her. Every time she does something that she works her ass off for is a statement of her work ethic, talent, and resilience. Here you sad little haters come out the woodwork. Jealousy and racism, sexism, double standards, you perpetuate those things. Instead of celebrating a sister or just ignoring her if you don’t like her. I am sick of you losers. I know that she is going to be pissed at me for doing this, but I am fed up! This girl minds her own business. She helps people whenever she can. She lifts up & promotes black women and underdogs at all times. Cont.” However, style and pop culture journalist and digital marketer Geneva Thomas made an astute observation as to why some Black folks may feel triggerd by Bey‘s appearance, “Let’s be honest, this photo triggered a trauma response for Black folk in America. While not a response grounded in fact, given Beyoncé’s consistent body of work, undoubtedly rooted in Black cultural and political expression and values. But for many Black folk, the reactions are emotional in nature because we’ve seen this pattern before. Black folk in America witnessed many of our most beloved entertainment icon’s skin become lighter over time whether by pressure by the industry, acceptance by the mass audiences (read: white America), or even more sadly internalized white supremacy. Michael Jackson was accused of wanting to be white nearly the entirety of his career, and predominantly by other Black Americans despite proven testimonials by dermatologists and later, an autopsy confirming his vitiligo and Discoid Lupus. It wasn’t because Black audiences no longer respected MJ, it was a trauma response to white supremacy and its sustaining impact on pop culture and beauty standards. The reactions to these photos deserve more nuance and interrogation than simply dismissing them as hateful and jealous. Said with love and respect. 🙏🏾 The issue of colorism and white supremacy (aka mediocrity) will be an ongoing nuanced conversation we need to have until we can release ourselves from these shackles.
