Today’s the day!
The Maniscalco’s meet the Collins.
Sebastian Maniscalco stars alongside Robert De Niro in “About My Father,” a comedy of two families colliding over 4th of July weekend. The film also stars Kim Cattrall, Anders Holm, Leslie Bibb, Brett Dier, and David Rasche.
EUR talked to the cast about taxes, baby poop and the DMV.
Q: In the film, Sebastian is intimidated by the Collins family. Who or what intimidates you?
LB: The IRS. I don’t mess with the IRS.
KC: Death and taxes, they’re intimidating.
LB: I’m less scared of death than I am with fricking taxes. When people are like, ‘I didn’t pay my taxes.’ I’m like, ‘how?! You should be so scared of them coming after you and taking things.’
KC:…I don’t think I’m as scared. I’ve survived a lot. At this age, few things scare me.
AH: Other parents that know their kids’ schedules. And they ask, ‘are you going to be signed up for soccer in the fall?’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t know. I will drive them there. I just don’t know when it is yet.’
BD: The DMV scares the sh** out of me.
DR: A courtroom. You just want to confess. It’s terrifying. [I feel like I’m] going to do something wrong.
SM: Working with Bob was a little intimidating at the start. This is the guy that did “Good Fellows,” I had posters on my wall, and now I’m staring in a movie with him. It was intimidating. Not anything he was doing on purpose, it was just in my own head. I was like, ‘oh, my God! Can I do this?’
RD: There’s always something [that intimidates me]…
#AboutMyFather will be released on May 26.
