*Webbies, it’s Friday and we are hot on the block with these Social Heat gems. On April 20, 2023, Martin Lawrence received the 2,753rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 58-year-old actor brought a few of his famous friends to the ceremony; Tichina Arnold, Tracy Morgan, and Steve Harvey gave ol’ Marty-Mar his roses. “I’m very honored and very thankful to god for making this possible,” he said in his acceptance speech. He also sent well wishes to Jamie Foxx, who is recovering from a recent medical complication and teased about the upcoming “Bad Boy 4” with co-star Will Smith. “We’re doing our thing, man. Wait ’til y’all see it! I think it’s gonna be one of the best, best of them all,” he said to Access Hollywood. “We ain’t stopping.” Check out the full ceremony below.
FX aired the finale of “Snowfall,” and Damson Idris did the thing portraying Franklin Saint’s downfall and we expect him to sweep during awards season. The show also paid tribute to the late John Singleton, the creator of the cautionary tale drama, who passed on April 28th, 2019, from a stroke. Webbies, did you watch it? Allison Holker, the wife of the late DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss, is duking it out with the courts to gain access and control over her late husband’s assets because he did not leave a will, according to Madamenoire. Stephen died by suicide in December 2022. Holker wants the courts to grant her all of her husband’s stocks and to transfer his projects into her name. In addition, she requests that his company, Stephen Boss Productions, and “the assets that are tied to his Goldman Sachs investment account and other various projects. During his entertainment career, Boss generated royalties from Cast and Crew Production Services; Disney Worldwide Services Inc and SAG/AFTRA, the court filing states. The widow currently receives $600,000 worth of royalties from Boss’ company and $26,924.19 from his Goldman Sachs portfolio due to her beneficiary status,” according to the Blast.
