*Even more sordid details surrounding the strained relationship between Shirley Strawberry and her husband continue to come to light.
A leaked phone call from October 2022 reveals the “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” co-host is struggling financially as she tells her jailed husband Ernesto Willaims that she his legal expenses are making it difficult for her to buy shoes. As a result, Strawberry tells Williams that he needs to “get all this stuff in order.”
“But, yeah, when you get outta there we gotta just get all this stuff in order. This is just too much, too much,” the radio personality told her husband. “You can’t be moving like you’re moving, and your stuff isn’t in order, you know?”
As the conversation continues, Strawberry gets real with Williams when she outlines how much time he has been behind bars since they’ve been married, in addition to her financial status.
“That’s why you got picked up because you had warrants,” she revealed. “We’ve been married 8 years. You’ve been to jail – what – three times in 8 years? You’ve gotta get this stuff taken care of… It’s a lot on me — it’s a lot on you too, I know, but this is a lot.”
Sandra Rose notes how strained Strawberry’s relationship has become with her revealing the reason she can’t buy a pair of shoes. According to Strawberry she is “running out of money.”
“Well, what you been doing?” Williams asked.
Strawberry’s answer? She’s running out of cash “paying for you… I’m not rich!”
Strawberry’s revelation marks the latest development in her broken marriage to Williams. News of problems in the couple’s relationship surfaced last week when Strawberry read an emotional letter on “The Steve Harvey Morning Show.” It was in that letter that Strawberry stated she filed for divorce from Williams.
In addition, calls made to Williams’ Miami-based mistress “Sonya” between October 2022 and April 2023, compared to those made to his wife show a big difference.
