*From time to time, I get names suggested to me, to have featured in OUR ROOTS either by friends, members of the public, readers and fans of OUR ROOTS and teachers. One fan of OUR ROOTS, Femi Adetunji, would often send me names, news articles and profiles to look at, asking if I have ever done them and if not, whether I would like to have a go. Femi gave me the name…Henrietta Lacks who lived a short life but gave the world life. If a person intrigues me, I get excited to draw him or her. Lacks is one of them. She is in OUR ROOTS Volume two book. My desire is for the less talked about or less appreciated brought to the forefront of recognition. TAYO’s Focus On Nigerian Election 2023 – Resilient Nigerians – EURWEB

Presidential Election: Resilient Nigerians go for change – Wherever Nigerians are around the world, whether at the barber shop, in a restaurant, on a bus, at events and anywhere you can think of, one running commentary above all other commentaries, is the Presidential election coming up on 25th February as they go to the polls, to vote in a new president and vice president. There are 18 presidential candidates amongst whom are three household names including a human rights activist.

Nigerians have endured a lot under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari. He said last year that he has done his best for Nigerians but it appears his best has not been good enough. Never seen a leader Nigerians have been so critical of. Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. All leaders under Buhari have also not helped matters. They are partly to blame for Nigerians yearning for fresh leadership, expecting a leader who will protect, secure and unify the nation.
