*Fame music producer L.A. Reid is facing a new lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault and harassment.

Former Arista executive Drew Dixon is taking legal action against Reid, claiming he assaulted her twice in the early 2000s.

According to the lawsuit, Dixon alleges that whenever she “declined his advances, he retaliated against her professionally, causing her to miss out on signing or developing artists such as John Legend,” per Variety

Dixon is the same woman who accused Russell Simmons of raping her in 1995. She told the New York Times she is still evaluating her legal options regarding Simmons.

“I have an opportunity now to seek some degree of accountability,” Dixon told the Times. “And that’s really what I’m trying to do.”

Dixon’s lawsuit against Reid references several instances of his “sexualizing and harassing” behavior and details how he “retaliated against her by embarrassing her in front of others or otherwise being curt and unprofessional,” it states, according to Variety.

“Promotional and recording budgets were suddenly reduced dramatically or frozen altogether. Song demos and artist auditions were flatly rejected,” per the lawsuit.

“It was very clear that I was being punished because I would not comply,” she told the Times.

Variety reports that Dixon left Arista in 2002.

Reid stepped down as chairman of Epic Records in 2017 after an assistant had accused him of sexual harassment.
