*Jesse Williams was being sued for allegedly fleeing the scene of a car crash in Los Angeles in 2020, but the woman suing him has dropped the lawsuit.

The woman, Paula Bruce, filed a personal injury lawsuit against Williams after claiming he crashed his Porsche into her Mercedes and gave her a bogus name before fleeing the scene. As TMZ reports, the actor’s attorney acknowledged that Williams rear-ended Bruce but did not “flee” the scene after telling her his name was August Moon, per RadarOnline.com.

August Moon happens to be the name of Jesse’s production company.

As Radar reports, Williams claims he and the woman exchanged information at the scene of the crash and then he left when his assistant arrived to avoid the paparazzi.

Days later, Williams said he called Bruce to check on her and she allegedly told him she was doing fine. However, weeks later, Williams’ attorney informed him that Bruce was seeking $1.6 million in damages.

Williams’ legal team called it a “blatant attempt” at extortion.

The two parties spent months battling it out, with Williams objecting to an in-person deposition amid the COVID pandemic.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Bruce’s new filing informs of her decision to dismiss all claims against Williams. She also noted that both parties will pay their own legal fees
