*Flo Rida’s 6-year-old son fell from a fifth-floor apartment window in New Jersey earlier this month and the child reportedly remains in intensive care after sustaining serious injuries.
The boy’s mother, Alexis Adams, filed a civil lawsuit Monday against the Jersey City building claiming the owners installed windows with “incorrect sized guards,” posing “a hazardous condition” that ultimately caused her son to fall “to the concrete pavement below” on March 4, Page Six reports.
The incident left her son, Zohar Dillard, hospitalized with multiple fractures including to his pelvis. He also suffered a lacerated liver, collapsed lungs, and internal bleeding, according to Page Six.
The apartment complex’s owners and managers are reportedly named in the lawsuit, as well as a construction company and a window installer.

“As a single mom to a special-needs child, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces,” Adams said in a statement to News12 New Jersey.
“I am devastated, angry and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has suffered severe injuries due to willful negligence of our landlord and others involved In failing to take necessary safety measures.”
Adams is seeking damages, attorney’s fees, and her son’s medical bills paid. She previously claimed Flo Rida is not involved in Zohar’s life, Page Six reported.
“Flo Rida has only seen his son once during the paternity test [in December 2016] but kept his shades on and his back turned,” she told the Daily Mail in 2018.
“They were in the same room. He didn’t try to hug Zohar, nothing. It was very cold,” she added.
