*We have an exclusive clip from season two of TBS’ high-octane competition series, “The Cube,” hosted by three-time NBA Champion Dwyane Wade.
The show returned for its second season on May 14, featuring “more games, celebrities, and winners,” per the press release.
The celebrity guests are competing for charities, and this season include Wade’s wife, actress Gabrielle Union-Wade, La La Anthony, Shaquille O’Neal, country music star Jimmie Allen, and NBA Champion Iman Shumpert.
Per the press release: “The Cube” follows contestant pairs who must demonstrate skill, nerve and determination as they endure seemingly simple physical and mental tasks – all while confined in ‘The Cube,’ an intimidating glass box with its own mind and attitude, in the hope of winning a major cash prize. Working on their own or as a team, each pair has nine lives to complete seven games that are worth an increasing amount of money as they inch closer to taking home the $250,000 jackpot.
This week, friends Kweku and Kofi are facing the cube and have dubbed it “Little Cubie” to knock it down a peg. Kweku and Kofi have also titled themselves the G-Boys as both are first-gen children of Ghanaian immigrants and promised they will let DWade become an honorary G-Boy if they beat the cube. Will Dwyane add G-Boy next to his Hall of Fame title? The cube is certain Kweku, and Kofi don’t stand a chance.
