*Social Heat is coming guns hot. Chris Rock is preparing for an upcoming comedy special and joked to a crowd at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore on Feb. 17, “The other day, I watched Emancipation just so I could watch him getting whipped.” People on social media felt that the 58-year-old comic statement was taking things too far with his feud with Will Smith, who slapped him during the Oscars telecast in 2022. Others feel Chris’ joke is pure comedy and critics shouldn’t be so sensitive. Was it all jokes, or was Chris’ barb too inflammatory?
